The New Zealand beverage market is one of the most innovative in the world, with producers constantly developing new products across craft beer, RTD's, seltzers and wine. This dynamic growth demands packaging lines that are not only fast but also flexible. Q-Pack was proud to meet this challenge by commissioning a Matrix TECNA canning line in New Zealand. This project was coordinated by our technical team, from logistics and installation to commissioning and training, and we were able to get the customers line running at full-scale production in quick time to ensure minimal disruptions for the customer.
The Matrix TECNA ISO-C FM 14/2 is a state of the art canning line built for performance and versatility. This line is a counter-pressure filler with 14 electro-pneumatic filling valves and a two head seamer, a combination that allows the unit to run at 6000 cans per hour.
The TECNA lines are about more than just speed, they are also highly versatile. This counter-pressure system is designed to fill both carbonated and still drinks, from seltzers and beer to still wine and RTD's, all in one machine, while ensuring low dissolved oxygen pickup.
The units greatest advantage is its intelligent PLC. The operating team can create and store specific "recipes" for each product and can size. This enables seamless, rapid adjustments for different products or formats with minimal intervention time. This was a key choice for our customer, with their diverse portfolio requiring a unit that could fill a variety of products.
